Beach Access #3 on a Rainy Day 5x7 Print
This piece is a paper art portrait of one of the South Padre Island beach accesses. The beach has always been one of my favorite places. Since I was a kid, my family would come down to the Gulf of Mexico and play in the waves. Sticking my feet in the sand, making sand castles, building bonfires late into the night, things I remember doing a thousand times over.
This piece is based on a photo I took on a rainy day in mid June. I wanted to capture the feeling I felt when I saw the rainbow above the ocean, the skies letting up from the rain, the earth crisp with life and wetness.
5x7 print of an original paper cut, numbered and printed on weighted paper.
