Installation Work

Curatorial Work

I am forever indebted to Fate for introducing me to one of my all time favorite things, art curation. Before a couple of years ago, I had no idea what amount of work carefully identifying unified artwork and hanging a cohesive show could be. But it is something I am absolutely in love with. The math, the precision, the dance of colors, the spacing, the visual design of a room, the food for the reception table, the ways you can get creative with a space… One of the best compliments I ever received was someone who said “You don’t just hang art work on the wall, you make the whole room into a world.” I can’t believe I get to do this monthly in my own space and I am so honored every time someone hires me to curate their show, too. Below are pictures from one of my favorite gallery shows, totaling 34 hours of curatorial work with an incredible team of local curators.

Visual Marketing

My favorite kind of art is the kind you can walk through and interact with, the kind that invites you into a whole new world.

I’ve been fortunate to be commissioned by different businesses to take care of their visual advertising and design needs. This often requires a team of artists who are willing to get their hands dirty and think outside the box with me.

Below are a few of the installation pieces I have worked on for different businesses and exhibits.

Production Design

Production design is a natural extension of my love of creating worlds.

I have had the joy of working on indie short films, theatre performances, and a poetry special for the CW network.

The art of filmmaking brings me joy like nothing else can. I believe it is the collective drive and creative vision that lights me up. When everyone on set is excellent at what they do and we are all working like a well oiled machine, it is like nothing else in this world. Movie Magic is 100% a thing.

Here are some behind the scenes moments of things I have worked on.

Creative Direction

I find photography, like so many other visual arts, incredibly exhilarating. I often wake up with ideas for sets or props in my head.

I love when an idea comes to life, moving from one dimension to another. Here are some paper props and shoots I have worked on conceptualizing & creating.
